PRIVILEGED

Anne is currently co-starring in The CW’s new series “Privileged” as Laurel Limoges, the brilliant, jet-setting founder of an international cosmetics empire who hires a Yale graduate to tutor her twin teenage granddaughters.

Pilot Preview:  Taking after the lifestyles of the high-end socialites, the first episode of Privileged introduces us to the protagonist, Megan Smith (JoAnna Garcia).  At 23 years old, anything can happen.  She just graduated from Yale and dreams to be a journalist, but her positive attitude clashes with the challenge of a lifetime.  After being fired from her boring tabloid job, she meets the cosmetics mogul Laurel Limoges (Anne Archer).  Laurel seems to be opening the golden doors for Megan, and she soon finds herself as a tutor to Laurel's billionaire granddaughters.  Megan doesn't seem to fit in the typical Palm Beach scenario of mansions, limousines and cold, hard cash.  She has her doubts about going through with it, but accepts.  When she does, she is taken to the house of her dreams.  A brand new car awaits her, as well as a room that could fit a hundred of her.  All this comes with a huge price, like the danger of being Tasered by the teens. Laurel describes Megan's soon-to-be protégés as “delightful teenagers: strong wills and good hearts, but their grades are lousy.”  Megan eventually finds out just how strong these two are, to the point of being stuck-up and stubborn.  Despite the twin trouble, Megan gets her own way to get them into Duke University.  She won't be able to convince these girls of their potential without the help of the mansion's staff, like chef Marco (Allan Louis).  Megan also has her sister, Lily (Kristina Apgar) to stand by her, even though they have their own conflicts to settle.

Privileged was written by Rina Mimoun for the CW, who was famed for her work on Gossip Girl, Dawson's Creek and Everwood among others.  Privileged was based on a novel, “How to Teach Filthy Rich Girls” by Zoey Dean.  The series will continue to air on the network on Tuesdays at 8pm.
